Cold Chillin' is a hip hop mix show on 93.9 WLXU LP-FM in Lexington, Kentucky, and hosted by Cutmaster Alpha. The show airs from Midnight to 2AM on Sundays. Cold Chillin' is the only strictly-80's hip hop mix show in Kentucky.
Cutmaster Alpha uses hundreds of obscure 80s hip hop records, two Technics 1200s, and a Vestax PMC-15 MK2 mixer to create what you hear on the air. The show format is very similar to the Cutmaster Alpha tapes you may have seen floating around in Lexington. It's also very similar format to the Mr. Magic's Rap Attack and the Chuck Chillout/Kool DJ Red Alert shows from the late '80s. Check it out!
